As the 2014 season approaches, there are many changes going on at the Brule River Barn.
Before the ground froze last winter, we put in a new septic tank for permanent bathrooms on the east side of the Barn. As soon as the weather warms up enough to set concrete, we'll be adding the toilets and plumbing, too. The bathrooms will be separated into men's and women's and be fully handicapped accessible.
We'll also be putting the finishing touches on the Old Milk House. This is a small outbuilding that will serve as a dressing room and lounge for the groom or whatever guests need to use it. There will be all the hallmarks of a man-cave—including a mini fridge, TV, and sofas—but in the chic rustic style found at the Brule River Barn.
Other areas will also receive small improvements before the 2014 season, including the field ceremony site and the Honeymoon Cottage.
